🧠 Build Your Rig: Match Rope Bags + Packs by Load Type

Your gear system starts with the load — and Ether Forged adapts to it. Ether Forged ltd’s, patent pending modular systems efficiently maximizes packing and unpacking to quickly adapt to the conditions in front of you.

First. The most efficient way to move through the environment is without anything strapped around your neck like a bunny strap or a postal strap style carry. The reason is the cadence of your arms and your balance is off. Balance is a must. To be balanced everything goes in the pack, until the time is right. Protect yourself by being balanced. We can all hike, scramble, and climb better balanced knowing your lifeline is super safe in an Ultra 800X blanket. Once you are in a section to utilize the gear, pull it out of the pack and attach the bunny straps if you like to pass bags off in tight challenging sections or start your vertical adventures. It is engineered to be seamless in and out.

Packing things are easier when you have a little extra space and you are not trying to cram it all in. We like to have about 80% of empty space, this makes it easier and faster to stuff a rope bag, or a pack. If you are in a wet environment allow even more space. Our preference is to “Oversize”. Ether Forged Ltd Ghosted 45 L packs easily handle a 40 Liter dry bag. Everything that is not going to be wet is in the dry bag. The dry bag is overinflated so that it will float as much as possible. We will keep rope, webbing in the dry bag. Dry webbing is easier to melt when building anchors.
